Frequently asked
questions:

  • Psychotherapy and counselling are not yet covered by Medicare rebates or the Mental Health Care Plan scheme, though Medicare is currently reviewing these services.

Since my intention is to make therapy accessible, my fees are designed to remain comparable to those of other mental health professionals even after rebates are applied.

You don’t need a GP referral to book sessions with me —sessions can be booked directly.

  • Yes, I offer concession rates.

I prioritise accessibility and inclusivity, and understand that financial circumstances vary greatly, so I have designed a SLIDING-SCALE PRICING STRUCTURE to accommodate diverse needs.

Sliding-scale pricing is built on trust. I trust you to assess your financial reality honestly. Please be mindful that if you can afford a higher rate, choosing accordingly supports access for those who truly need financial flexibility. It also allows me, as a therapist, to continue offering lower-cost services while maintaining a sustainable practice.

    Sliding Scale Options:

Top of the Scale – Invest in Yourself ($130 AUD)

  • Psychotherapy can be a valuable path if you feel a pull toward self-exploration, healing, or change—whether that comes from a sense of curiosity, discomfort, or the desire for a different experience of life. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting; what matters is an openness to engaging in the process.

If you find yourself wondering about therapy, that in itself may be a sign that something within you is ready to be heard, understood, or supported. In a therapeutic space, you have the opportunity to explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns in a way that fosters growth, clarity, and meaningful transformation.

  • Integrative psychotherapy recognizes the shared elements of successful therapy across different methods, addressing emotional, cognitive, behavioral, physiological, and even spiritual aspects of well-being.

Grounded in research, this approach integrates evidence-based techniques from various therapeutic models, moving beyond a "one-size-fits-all" framework. Studies suggest that no single therapeutic modality is universally effective for all clients, concerns, or contexts. By drawing from diverse psychological theories—including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, systemic, humanistic, somatic, and mindfulness-based approaches—integrative psychotherapy allows for tailored interventions that align with each client's personality, history, and presenting issues.

  • Our first session is a chance for us to connect and for you to ask any questions you may have. We’ll take time to explore what brings you to therapy and clarify your hopes and goals.

Most importantly, this session is about laying the groundwork for a safe and supportive therapeutic journey tailored to your needs.

  • I’m available for calls Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM.
